Sac Bag
I have a flowerhorn with a little sac/bag hanging out of his left gill from the inside of his body.?

I think the sac/bag is fat deposits though, i’m not too sure.

I fed him about 10-12 crickets that I got from the store. His current diet is made up of pellets and frozen raw shrimp that I cut in pieces for him. Could it be that the crickets are naturally high in fat content or protein that caused this to my flowerhorn fish? I checked on the right side gill too, and it has a smaller sac like a little bigger than a pea. But the one on the left is keeping the gill from closing completely. It’s kind of like a flat water- pouch shaped.
Any idea or help would be much appreciated.

I raise flowerhorns and have had several years experience with them. I have never seen the “sac/bag” that you are referring to. It sounds like a tumor, but without a photo, no one will be able to tell you for sure. What do the crickets have to do with it? Did this appear immediately after the cricket feeding? Please update you question or email me and I’ll see if I can help.
