How much should I tip at the Coldwater Creek Spa?
I received a generous gift certificate to this spa,which I’ve never been to. I’m not sure how much I’m supposed to tip for a massage and waxing.
The Gift Certificate’s “VALUE” should be put towards any tip you decide to give. Please refer to the website below for guidelines, but specifically for massage:
10%-20%. Sometimes, there is a basket in the room where you can leave the tip after the massage.
Now, if the charge for the massage/waxing es $60.00 and you decide to give a 15% tip, or $9.00, and your Gift Certificate was for $50.00, then you pay the $19.00 ($50.00 Certificate + 10.00 remainder of services + 9.00 tip = $69.00). But if your Certificate is $75.00, then they will remit to you $15.00 and you leave the $9.00 tip from that change.
Note: Some Gift Certificates do NOT allow you to get any of it back “in change.” If this is the case, you may need to purchase some beauty products or services to total the amount of the Certificate or more. Check the Certificate. It should list this provision if it applies.
